Terms & conditions
1. These terms
These are the terms on which I supply personalised cards and keepsakes to you. Please read them before you place an order — by ticking the box at checkout you're agreeing to them. Nothing here affects your legal rights as a consumer.
2. Everything is made to order
Every card in the shop is personalised and made individually once you order. Nothing is held in stock. That means the details you enter — names, dates, spellings, ages, foil colour — are used exactly as you type them. Please check them carefully before you pay, because I make the card from what you've written.
3. Your order and my acceptance
Placing an order is an offer to buy. A contract between us is formed when I send you an order confirmation by email. If I can't accept your order — for example if I can't produce the personalisation you've asked for — I'll tell you and refund anything you've paid in full.
4. Prices
All prices are in pounds sterling and include everything you pay for the item itself. Postage is added at checkout and shown before you pay.
Gift messages printed inside a card are charged at 50p per card and shown as part of the item price in your basket.
5. Making and sending your order
Orders are made and dispatched within 2–3 working days (Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays). During busy periods, such as the run-up to Christmas, this may increase to 2–5 working days. Postage times after that are Royal Mail's, not mine — a 48hr or 24hr service is a target, not a guarantee. Only Special Delivery is guaranteed, and only by Royal Mail's own terms.
I post to UK addresses only at the moment.
6. Colours and finishes
Foil is reflective, so colours look different depending on the light and the angle. Screens also vary. Small differences between the photographs on this site and the card you receive are normal and aren't a fault.
7. If something goes wrong
If your card arrives damaged, or with a mistake that's mine, please tell me within 14 days of it arriving and I'll put it right — see the returns section below. If your parcel hasn't arrived, please allow 5 working days after dispatch before contacting me, as tracking can take a while to update.
8. My liability to you
I'm responsible for loss you suffer that's a foreseeable result of my breaking these terms. I'm not responsible for losses that weren't foreseeable when we made the contract. I don't limit my liability in any way that the law doesn't allow — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of , and disputes can be brought in its courts.
Returns & cancellations
Personalised items
Because every card is personalised and made specifically for you, you don't have the usual 14-day right to change your mind. That's the exemption for goods made to a consumer's specification or clearly personalised, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
In plain English: I can't accept returns, refunds or exchanges on a personalised card simply because you've changed your mind, or because the personalisation details provided at the time of ordering were incorrect.
What you're always entitled to
Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are unaffected. If your card is faulty, damaged in the post, or not what you ordered — including if I've made an error in the personalisation — you're entitled to a replacement or a full refund, including the postage you paid.
- Email me within 14 days of the card arriving.
- Send a photograph of the problem where you can — it saves posting it back.
- I'll offer a remake or a full refund, whichever you'd prefer.
- Refunds go back to your original payment method within 14 days of me agreeing to it.
Cancelling before I've started
If you get in touch quickly and I haven't printed your card yet, I'll cancel and refund you in full as a goodwill gesture. Once printing and foiling has started, I'm unable to cancel the order because the card has been personalised specifically for you and cannot be resold.
Parcels that don't arrive
Every order is sent using a tracked Royal Mail service. If tracking shows your parcel as delivered but you haven't received it, please contact me and I'll open an enquiry with Royal Mail. If the parcel is confirmed as lost in transit, I'll remake and resend your order at no additional cost to you.
Privacy policy
Who handles your information
What I collect
- Your name, email address, delivery address and (if you give it) phone number.
- The personalisation details you type into the card — names, dates, messages.
- A record of what you ordered and what you paid.
I do not see or store your card details. Payments are handled entirely by the payment provider, who has their own privacy policy.
Why I hold it, and for how long
- To make and send your order — because I need it to perform our contract. Held while your order is in progress.
- To keep business records — because tax law requires it. Order and payment records are kept for 6 years, then deleted.
- To answer your messages — because it's in both our interests. Deleted when it's no longer needed.
I don't send marketing emails unless you've specifically asked me to, and you can stop them any time by replying and saying so.
Who else sees it
- Royal Mail — your name and delivery address, to deliver the parcel.
- The payment provider — the details needed to take your payment.
- My email provider — because your order arrives as an email.
I don't sell your information to anyone, ever.
Cookies
This site doesn't use tracking or advertising cookies. It stores your basket in your own browser so it's still there if you refresh the page. That never leaves your device and I can't see it. Clearing your browser data removes it. We count visits to the site to see which pages are popular. This uses no cookies and doesn't identify you.
Your rights
You can ask me for a copy of the information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it (except where I have to keep it for tax records). Email me and I'll respond within a month.
If you're unhappy with how I've handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
